What An Exciting Day!!

In a further attempt to lighten the mood of my blog, I just thought I’d post about how amazing today has been for me and geeks everywhere! LMAO. There’s just been so much going on in the entertainment world that I’ve been floating on cloud nine since about noon. First order of business…
I couldn’t believe that a clip of Silent Hill: Revelation 3D had leaked today. That was the big kahuna of the day. I’ve been waiting over a year for some kind of information, namely trailer, from the movie and here we have a clip. I still have to wait a couple more weeks for the trailer, but this clip has reinstated my hopes for the Silent Hill film franchise. I’m still heavily concerned that due to lack of marketing and promotion that this film is going to flop but I’m trying my damnest to keep my spirits high! This clip makes the movie look very faithful to the first film. My biggest concern over the sequel was the fact that it’s 3D. I’m happy to say in this minute and a half of footage there’s not one 3D gimmick. I hate 3D gag shots of shit flying towards the screen. It’s never been scary, it never will be scary, it’s just a nuisance that distracts the viewer from the story.
Also to add to the excitement today, along with the clip (above) the crew of SH announced at Comic-con today that both Universal parks will have a Silent Hill maze for Halloween Horror nights! (Please just imagine me drooling on my keyboard now.)
Since my first trip to HHN in 2009 I’ve been telling David that I wish they would do a SH themed scare house. Well, they’re not doing a scare house but to be perfectly honest, a SH themed maze sounds entirely superior in thrills over a scare house. I’m not sure how they’re going to pull it off, but I can promise you that I will be there this year walking through the SH maze a few times just to soak in the excitement of it!
I just finished watching The Lord of the Rings yesterday, and of course right away I had two thoughts. First, I needed to download the books and read them to better understand and appreciate the world that JRR Tolkien had created. Second, search, view, and nerdgasm over the upcoming Hobbit movie. So I did, and discovered on their website a two and a half minute trailer of the movie has been posted. After watching it, and letting the blood return to my body from the various extremities it traveled too over the course of the trailer, I can safely say I cannot wait for this December, and next! They’re splitting The Hobbit into two movies, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, and The Hobbit: There and Back Again. OMGOMGOMG, it looks like it’s going to be amazing…and long. Very long.
Deadpool has a video game coming out that looks fan-fucking-tastic! I’ve never read the comics before, but after watching the trailer for the game, I’m interested in searching around for some comics to better familiarize myself with Deadpool.
     Lets see, what else?
As luck would have it David will be getting two days off next week! I’m so excited for him. He started crashing early on this week, and ended up forfeiting his Thursday to another employee so he could have the time off. He finally for the first time since April received more than one day off. He relaxed and played video games all day…both days. I’m hoping he does that again next week. The poor boy, he works so hard and having one day off doesn’t really qualify as rest. It just feel like you have 24 hours to get ready for your next shift. LMAO. So yes, hopefully next week he can relax and maybe on his second day off we’ll go spend the day at the movie theatres watching up a storm of movies. There are so many good ones in the theatre right now that I geniunely believe it would take more than a day to watch all the ones we want to see.
Hmmm, it rained today for like five minutes. It’s funny because I had just drifted into a nice peaceful nap when suddenly I heard the rain outside and sprung from my bed to get this wonderful video clip…
Now more than ever David and I are jazzed about next year…but that will be another post. I promise.
Well, there are more things that have gone down today to make it a super fantastical day, but unfortunately none are coming to mind, and I have to get back to cleaning. I’ve been spending the whole day cleaning the house, and I’m almost done!!! It’s starting to look like a home again…I’m so happy! :’-)
