Lily's Graduation, What the F**k!?

Today Lily graduated!

How fucking weird is that? I still look at her and see my little baby sister. She's just graduated high school. It was weird enough seeing her turn 18 two months ago, but now graduating high school?

It seems like just a year or so ago we snapped this picture (below) at the beach. She was eight.

Today I got to watch her walk across the stage as her name was called, shake hands, and walk off.

After the graduation Olivia and I went to pick up our niece and nephew, Heath and Piper. It's still so weird hanging out with them. After swearing them off for so many years because of Sabrina's alcohol addiction, we're finally connecting and it's jarring. Both Olivia and I tried so hard throughout the day not to repeatedly bring up Sabrina. When we first hung out with them after Sabrina died we kept talking about her and you could tell it made them feel uncomfortable. We failed horribly.

It's hard to see their faces and not think of Sabrina.

We played in the pool for a couple of hours, even though I told myself I was not going too, and then hung out inside. It was so hot that I'm pretty sure one-by-one we all took a nap.

Tomorrow I'm planning on going to Lake Eola with David, and there's a chance that Olivia and Lily may join us. That'll be awesome to spend more time with her on her special week.

I'm so proud of her for graduating. Being down syndrome, I'm not sure what tomorrow means for her, but still. Today was a special day and she felt it.

Congrats little sis!
