A Day at Disney World

I've been trying to get to Disney for years. I mean YEARS.

I think the last time I went to Disney was back in 2010? I might be wrong on that but not far off. It's been awhile. Finally I was able to setup a date with my Mom for a Mother-Son's day out at Disney World.

We went to EPCOT (my favorite park) and walked around the park.

We went straight to Spaceship Earth. I really think this is my favorite ride at Disney. It's the slow ride where you go through the EPCOT ball and it takes you through the history of communication in humanity. It's awesome. I think I really love it because I love the smoke smell you experience when going through the library burning scene.

After this we went to The Land and headed straight to Soarin'. I didn't know at the time that the ride makes Mom sick, otherwise I would've opted to skip it, but she was adamant that she wanted us to ride it.

From there we rode Living With the Land, a boat ride that takes you through greenhouses and teaches you about the future technologies of agriculture. It's really neat and relaxing. Mom wasn't a huge fan of seeing the fish in the tanks.

Speaking of fishes in tanks we went straight over to The Living Seas. She was fine with these fish. I think it's because the tanks are gorgeous and it didn't hurt that they had dolphins. Her favorite animal.

Then it was time to go around the world. We went and got some Margarita's from Mexico. I don't know why but I drank my Margarita and then Mom gave me hers to finish. I'll say this about Disney margaritas....they're strong. I was buzzing pretty good by the time we got to Italy, where despite me telling Mom I didn't want any, she got me a glass of Preseco. I like Preseco but I guess she didn't.

We then left the park and Mom went home. David and I hung back and headed over to Animal Kingdom. Everywhere in the park was BUSY considering it was the last week off school for many kids.

By the time we got to Animal Kingdom I was sunburnt to oblivion and just DONE with the heat so I had enough energy for just one ride. We went on Na'vi River Journey. I have to admit, the animatronic on that ride was the best I had ever seen. It had very realistic movements.

I had such a great day. It was awesome going to the park and spending time with David and Mom. It's always so much fun getting to go out with Mom and hang out with her outside of her house. Hopefully we can plan another trip back soon!
