Angela's First Time at Disney

So it was Saturday when I was talking to Angela. I forgot what about, but she had randomly inserted the fact that she had never been to Walt Disney World. I couldn't believe my ears. This woman has been in Orlando for over 20 years and has never EVER been to Disney. This just wouldn't do.

I texted my Mom to ask if she could get David, Angela, Emily, and myself. She agreed too and so it was set.

We met up with Mom at EPCOT. It's always so incredibly shellshocking seeing my Mom and David's Mom in close proximity. It's kind of difficult to get either of these ladies out of their respective homes, so seeing them talking to each other was incredible. Of course, we had to snap a picture of the moment.

After we got into the park Mom took off. She had a few orders with her business she had to tend too so she wasn't able to play in the park with us.

We went straight to Spaceship Earth, my favorite ride there. After that we went to Mission: Space. The wait time clock showed a wait time of 25 minutes, but it was closer to 90 minutes. I can never accurately tell whether this ride will be great or meh. Previously when riding on it it seemed like they had dulled it to oblivion but today? Today it was great!

After Mission: Space we started to walk around the World Showcase. I just was absolutely ready for a margarita in Mexico. We rode the ride in Mexico, which is Emily's favorite ride, and then went and rode the Frozen ride in Norway.

After Frozen we kept going around the world to Italy. Again, I copied my recent(ish) trip to EPCOT with my Mom and stopped at Mexico for margaritas and a prosecco from Italy.

By now, I think it's safe to say that both Angela and I were buzzing really hard. Not quite drunk, but we were definitely feeling good, but also really hungry.

So we finished the World Showcase and went to Living Land to have lunch.

I have to say, the food was, at best, overpriced disappointment. Still, with food in our bellies we decided to ride Soarin' and then The Living Seas with Nemo and Friends.

About this point it was almost 5 and we were all aching and tired. We decided to leave.

It was an awesome day and it was cool to have Angela experience Disney for the first time. However, I know that EPCOT is NOT the entirety of Disney but I definitely think it's a worthwhile start.
