I turned 35. Woah!
DISCLAIMER: First off, I apologize that it's been awhile since I've posted. If you've been apart of 2020 at all I'm sure it's not hard to understand why. 2020 has been a year of nothing. All of our plans have gone out the window. Our major efforts to "get out more" have been thwarted by COVID-19 and we've had to lock ourselves in doors for the greater part of the year. So there's been quite literally NOTHING to post about. That being said, I also forgot I had a blog. (embarrassed emoji). Now that I've randomly remembered I'll try to post some posts and timestamp them accordingly to showcase what else has happened this year, but yeah, I think it's been nothing at all.
Back to my Birthday.
Originally our plan was to go to Key West for three days, but due to a snowball bill effect we had going on, all plans had to be funded last second and Key West was no longer a great idea. I had taken off a week of work (which by the way was LONG overdue) in anticipation of going to the Keys. I decided to do a Staycation, but do it well unlike previous Staycations we've done in the past.
So on my Birthday David and I went to Icon Park. What a fucking blast! We bought the 7-attraction pass and did Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum, the aquarium, Orlando Eye Ferris wheel, Astral Flyer, arcade, and The Sugar Factory.
We started out with the wax museum. I was least excited about this attraction but it turned out to be awesome. Some of the figures were extremely lifelike, some a little less so.
After the wax museum we went to the aquarium and had fun. Then we went and got some appetizers from Yard House, and then rode the Ferris wheel.
After the Ferris wheel we went on the Astral flyer, a 450' tall tower that raise you up on swings and spins you high in the air. David kept his eyes closed the whole time. Then it was time for some Sugar Factory (pictured above). We got a banana split, milkshake, and a large goblet of alcohol goodness.
