I had a wild hair up my ass to go bowling. Not sure why, but it had been awhile and it sounded fun. So David and I agreed that we should invite Ali and Dakota with us to go have a boys night out.
I had managed to score the day off of work and the guys accepted. So we cleaned (sort of) the car and picked up Dakota and then Ali and went to lunch at Moe's Southwest Grill.
I had been to Moe's before in Citywalk and didn't care for it. In a world where you have the option of Moe's or Chipotle, Chipotle will always win. I'm just not a texmex guy. However Moe's was Dakota's favourite spot and I definitely wanted him to have fun, so we decided on Moe's. It also didn't hurt that it was a place David loved too.
After lunch we headed to the bowling alley, Boardwalk Bowl, on Colonial.
Let me tell you, I still fucking suck at bowling.
Also, I hate Ali for this less than flattering picture of my buddha roundness. Haha
We had a blast though. The entry screens for the lane had cameras so we all put our faces on the screen doing silly looks.
After bowling we headed to the arcade and played some games. I was desperately trying, and wonderfully failing, to win a programmable robot in one of the machines. David stuck to the shoot em up game.
We left the bowling alley to head over to Gods & Monsters but unfortunately Apple was wrong about the closing time for the business and by the time we had arrived they were long closed.
It was an awesome boys night out, and much needed. It was great hanging out with the boys, especially because, and I can't stress this enough, we're all so fucking weird that it's relaxing to just let your hair down and be yourself.
