Unprepared But Not Alone

So I had to take a business trip down to Sunrise, FL for work. I was asked to go down there and get them moved over to our network and domain, which I'm not sure why, but I had left with way too much confidence given I had not a clue what the first step was.

Since it was so close and David was (mostly) off anyways I brought him down with me. It was a mess of a trip. I got into the facility and then realized I had no clue what I was doing. I showed up with not enough tools to get the job done, granted I didn't really know what their setup was before I showed up so I won't beat myself up too much for that one.

At one point I had to take the network down. I told the manager of the facility that I needed to take it down and he said go ahead. I repeated to him multiple times (since I saw people in the back working) that it would take everything down and he said he understood. I kid you not it wasn't 30 seconds after I unplugged the modem that he was complaining about the internet being down. That set the tone for the next two days there.

So the work part sucked, but it was so nice coming back to the hotel room to my husband. After work both nights we'd go walking around. The mall there is fucking MASSIVE, and even after both nights of walking around aimlessly we still didn't see every part of the mall. We did get some good new clothes though and we took a trip up the road to Ross and got some good cologne.

It was a stressful trip but having David with me made it all the more better.
