Today I am 37. Getting older is so weird considering I was convinced as a young kid that I wouldn’t make it past 12 years old courtesy of a Ouija board. 25 years past that and I’m still kicking for some reason.
I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do today. I’ve spent way too long trying to hash out exactly what I wanted to do, but for the sake of time and money I ended up settling on another Volcano Bay birthday.
We started out the day at Hash House a Go Go, one of my favorite spots for brekky in Orlando. It was David, Olivia and her Kids, Missy and her kids, Clay and myself. As always, breakfast was on point.
After we finished eating we stopped by Walmart because Olivia needed sunscreen and a hat. The problem is, she didn’t want to go into the store so she asked David and I to grab a cheap hat for her. Of course, I found the ugliest hat in the store–a neon highlighter green hat with a matching shirt. So if you see the pictures and wonder why she looks like she’s trying to flag down nearby airplanes with ultra high rez gear, now you know.
We then went to Volcano Bay. We pretty much stayed in the little kids splash area, which made me vow at the end of the day that there will be NO MORE children at my Birthday events. I just wanted to do the lazy river all day but unfortunately the kids were afraid of it, so we had to do the splash area.
We stayed for about half a day and then went back home where I opened gifts. Clay got me some Fortnite figurines and a Birthday card. He took some time a doodled a really good looking Meowcles and Fennix on the card. David got me two pairs of shoes. Considering how tight we were with money, I appreciated them to no end. They look so good and new shoes always hit the spot.
There was one more item on the agenda after the gifts and that was my Birthday dinner.
We (Flow, Clay and myself) head out to Tartini Pizzeria & Spaghetteria to meet up with Blizz for the first time. Blizz brought his date Tyler. It was so cool to meet the wolf in person, however Tyler was…. He was an acquired taste. I got to try the fettuccine that they make inside a wheel of cheese. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good as I had hoped. They mixed some liquor in it which gave it an odd flavor.
So that was my Birthday in a nutshell. I’m now 37 years old, the same age as David again. Haha
