20 Years Together: Part Two

So far we'd done the needle and aquarium. It was nothing though compared to what we had planned today.

DAY THREE

We woke up feeling a little achy from all of the walking the day before. If ever you plan a trip to Seattle, and plan on walking around the city, please learn from us and bring some IcyHot with you. Your muscles will thank you!

We snapped a few photos in the hotel room because we were feeling cute and ready for the day.

First things first, we needed brekky. I was craving some non-chain donuts and found this cute shop in Capitol Hill so we decided to brave the walk up the almost vertical sidewalk for a third time and hit up the donut shop. David's face in the picture says it all... they were amazing.

We had a tight schedule. After the donut shop we walked straight back over to the Public Market. David refused to let me walk past the oldest Starbucks so we had to stop there. It was...okay. I mean, it was a closet pretty much with a Starbucks shoved into it. It was cramped, busy, and not my cup of tea but at least I can say I stopped there.

We then walked over to the dock for our boat tour. It was part of the city pass we bought and I think the thing I was looking forward too the least. However, I'm so happy we did it. First of all, I got to barely see Rainier which made me happy. But second, it was geniunely awesome to be on a huge boat with David and go around looking at the shoreline of Seattle.

After the boat we were going to head back to the hotel to prepare for our photo shoot that night but we happened upon the most curious place... a selfie museum.

We have one of those here in Orlando but we've never had a chance to visit. We figured since we had some time to spare we'd check it out. I have to admit, it was very difficult to take the experience of taking selfies seriously, but we did manage to get quite a few great shots together.

I had a blast!

After we were done embarassing ourselves at the selfie museum we went back to the hotel to shower and prepare for our photo shoot. It was an in and out situation as the selfie museum ate up a lot of our time.

We walked back down to the Public Market. At this point I'm certain I have no soles left on my feet. We got there about an hour early so we decided to explore the Public Market a little more. We snapped a few good pictures.

Then it was time for the photo shoot. We met up with the photographer and the group in front of Beechers. It was an amazing group of people and they were all so very nice. I think we were both nervous as hell and you can see it in a few of the pictures, but the group was so engaging that we felt pretty relaxed... up until it was time to take the pictures of us crossing the road holding hands. Unfortunately the road we crossed was busy with passerby's who either wanted money or were shocked to see two men holding hands.

David was of course an absolute natural at the photos. I'm fairly convinced he was a model in his previous life as he could take directions so well. Me? I struggled. I was so fucking nervous that it was difficult to keep a straight face and not look like I shit my pants... which I refuse to confirm or deny any allegations that I did just that.

The pictures turned out amazing and the photographer had them ready in a day. It was insane!

Honestly I think taking the photos was our favorite part of the trip.

And that was it folks. We walked back to the hotel, slept and (reluctantly) flew back home.

20 years together. Such a long time, and not long enough. This is my forever man and I couldn't be any happier spending my limited time with him, showered in his presence. We had such an amazing time, took so many great pictures, and will have everlasting memories we share together, forever.
